Say hello to Sara Bareilles. Her song, released last summer, has only now become an international hit. Almost a year later, the song made it to Number 1 in Canada in March. I’ve also checked out some of her other tunes and they’re very good. You know we love to share our favourite music, so here goes and check out her MySpace.

We love The Weepies. They’re oh-so-indie. Cute songs, meaningful lyrics, and more. On their latest release, they’ve opted to do a cover of Mandy Moore’s ‘All Good Things.’ Check it out below, it’s magic. Then check out the duo’s MySpace.

The industry is in anticipation of an announcement to be made later this season about a posssible “Victoria’s Secret”-type fashion show to be put on by lingerie giant LaSenza (lasenza.com). The show would be complete with models, no clothing, [Canadian] music, etc. etc. and happen sometime in October. Might be a fun idea, if the company can pull it off without being so watered-down Canadian.

America’s Next Dance Crew ‘judge’ Lil Mama was on TRL yesterday rocking this monstrosity. Girl thinks she can rap and now she’s trying to be some sort of fashion icon. This isn’t cute on her, it’s just wrong. But the idea behind it works…kinda. Thoughts?

So I’ve traded in my much loved iPhone for a Blackberry in Red…the newly crowned RedBerry. I got it because I love the colour and well–because I love the colour. I do like it — it’s cute, and I don’t feel restricted because it’s actually available through my carrier and can preform to its full capacity in Canada. Behold the first Product of the Week:

Alright all, there are some pretty serious concerts going down this summer and there is no reason (short of Gucci sale or intense love making with Justin Timberlake) that you should be missing out. We’ve generously started a list of must-sees. The ship has sailed on a couple shows (unless you try scalper-dom, or perhaps craigslist) but check out the artists anyways so you can cry a river over the genius you’d be missing. This applies tenfold to the following: MGMT, Hot Chip, Robyn, M.I.A. and the Presets.

Michelle Williams, of Destiny’s Child fame, is leaving her ladies behind in search of a revitalized solo career.  Although she’s become a gospel icon with her last releases, her new album, expected this summer, is going to be blazing. Think Timbaland-Keri Hilson produced with some soul.
